introducing Jaydie & emily

At The Real Motherhood, we believe education, care, and connection make all the difference in the early stages of parenting. What began as one mum's vision to support others has grown into a village dedicated to empowering whanau through every part of their journey. Jaydie - a Early Childhood teacher and Mum of two founded The Real Motherhood in 2021 following her studies in Transition to Parenting education. Emily - a Mum of three who had attended Mums & Bubs with her youngest two babies joined The Real Motherhood in 2025 supporting Jaydie with facilitation so we could increase class intakes. Together, we combine professional expertise with lived experience - we've navigated a wide range of motherhood exp experiences - the beautiful, the complex, and the unexpected. Those experiences have shaped the way we connect with and support others, reminding us that every journey is unique and every whanau deserves care that truly meets them where they're at. Our shared goal is simple: to create a space grounded in education, empathy and community - where parents feel seen, supported and never alone in their journey.
